Counselling
Counselling offers you dedicated time to reflect on any part of your life, whether you're seeking deeper understanding, facing challenges, or wanting to make meaningful changes. Walking in to your first session you may feel nervous about finally talking, excited to start the process, worried about judgement. You will be walking in to a space where you can finally talk about what you’ve been afraid to voice and offload. A place you can really be yourself, express what your life is like and be heard.
I am a Relationship & Trauma Therapist, based in the Mersea Island, Colchester, Essex. You can also work with me online. My aim is to provide a compassionate and structured space where we can safely explore your experiences, supporting your growth and development.
Session Length: 50 minutes
Session Cost: £60
Frequency: Weekly to start (however, other options can be available if appropriate for the support you need)
Location: Online or In-Person (Mersea Island, Colchester, Essex)
When you get in touch, we can have a 10-15 minute free telephone call to discuss therapy and what you’re looking for. Alternatively, we can get straight to it and arrange an initial session.

In our initial session, we’ll explore your reasons for seeking counselling, touch on your personal history, discuss any current symptoms or challenges, and most importantly, consider whether we feel comfortable working together as part of your therapy journey. At this session we will also discuss the best day and time for regular therapy.
Everyone has difficult times in their lives. Our past and current experiences impact on how we respond to them. This in turn impacts on your today, how you feel and what the future looks like.
Counselling can aid you by taking into account all areas of your past, present and future, by helping you find the pathway through the difficulties.
My Approach
My approach to therapy is calm and a steady pace. A space to slowly explore your world, with gentle challenging, but with the space to breath.
​There may be times when life feels heavy, and you find yourself carrying more than you know how to manage. You might feel lost in repeating patterns, unsure why things keep unfolding the way they do, or disconnected from the person you once were. Perhaps past experiences still cast long shadows over your present, leaving you feeling uncertain, alone, or weary. It can be hard to make sense of all this on your own, and even harder to know where to begin.
In our time together, you will have a space where all of this can be brought gently into the open, without judgment or pressure. Here, you can slow down, share what feels painful or confusing, and begin to explore your experiences with care and compassion. We will look together at what shapes the way you see yourself and your relationships, as well as the hopes and intentions that live quietly within you. With time, you may find new understanding, a kinder connection with yourself, and a way forward that feels lighter and more true to who you are.​

We cannot be present today, if we have little or no awareness and understanding of our past, and it's impacts upon us today.
