Counselling

I provide a safe and confidential space for you to be able to explore and process personal and emotional difficulties. During sessions I will listen and assist you to develop an understanding of your issues and the process in which they appeared in your life.

Therapy will take place at regular sessions and will last 50 minutes. Depending on your needs, I will use different techniques and approaches, adapted for you, as required. This will depend on what you have come to therapy for and how you are feeling, below are some areas we may explore:

- Relationships

- Childhood

- Behaviour(s)

- Past & Present Live Events

- Situations You Find Difficult

Everyone has difficult times in their lives. Our past and current experiences impact on how we respond to them. This in turn impacts on your today, how you feel and what the future looks like.

Counselling can aid you by taking into account all areas of your past, present and future, by helping you find the pathway through the difficulties.

My Approach

My Approach

My approach to therapy is Integrative, I utilise the most effective modalities and theories to enable significant development for my clients issues, themselves and for their life. I believe that to truly understand someone, we have to understand their past, their present and their future challenges and aspirations.

I use a mixture of humanistic, gestalt and psychodynamic approaches, with a backbone of existential therapy. I understand that it is key for all humans is to find their meaning in life, in work, in events (difficult, emotional or uplifting). Utilising hugely the approach of phenomenology, the exploration of human experience, along with the clients intentions, thoughts and feelings, toward themselves and others.

To understand how we view ourselves, others, the world, through the investigation of our past and present experiences, can lead to a better more aware understanding of our meaning in life.

We cannot be present, if we have little or no awareness and understanding of our past and it's impacts upon us today.
